Under the discerning eye of SV Judge Henning Setzer, VA Quenn von Monchberg won third place at the 2004 North American Sieger Show with his impressive protection work and his powerful, fluid gait. Just off the plane from Germany, his heart and strength of character evident in his calm and regal manner, he launched himself into his work and brought glory to his forefathers here on American soil.It is awe inspiring to see this big-boned male glide effortlessly over the ground, his deep color brought out by the lush grass. Admiring his complete focus and enormous power as he hits the sleeve, or his soft gaze and gentle kiss for my one year old son as he climbs Quenn like he is a mountain, it is clear that this male embodies the versatile spirit of the German Shepherd Dog and promises to pass on his high standards in work, play and movement to his progeny to the betterment of the breed. In fact, Monchberg is one of the oldest kennels in Germany and is famous for producing males that pass on the quality that they enjoy. Thanks to John Henkel for bringing over this incredible male for us. Quenn is here in the Texas Hill Country, available for stud to approved females only. Chilled or frozen semen are also available. Please call for more information.
Currently, Quenn has been practising in the sport of Mondio, and everyone who has been watching the learning process has been amazed at how gracefully he has learned the new rules (opposite in many ways from Schutzhund) and transferred his joy in working, once again proving the amazing versatility of this breed.

Vienna just recieved her "V" Rating and a perfect koer report at the NE Regional Sieger Show from Master Judge Lothar Quoll (historian for the SV and the progeny judge at the 2003 World Seiger Show in Germany). Vienna is the last producing daughter of Jello Wienerau who is considered by many to be the greatest producer ever brought over to our shores from Germany. Many of his progeny have first place status in competitions all over the world. His great-grandson Bax von der Luisenstrass just became Sieger at the 2003 World Sieger Show in Germany! In a photograph, one can see Vienna's beauty and superior quality. When she is in motion, however, she is absolutely breathtaking in her grace and the effortless power in her strides. She is an excellent mother, fostering confidence and curiosity in her pups. One of the rarest qualities in her is her adaptability. She lives with children, cats, other dogs and livestock. She has excellent discrimination using her protective instincts, which allows us to take her into any situation without an overreaction common to many protective dogs. Though she is always eager to work or play, she has a calm quality that stems from absolute soundness in temperament which she passes on to her pups. Vienna is now retired and enjoying a life of leisure.

Jutta von Lachenerweg, brought over from Germany, is a Salo von Maifeld daughter. She has uncanny intelligence and a hardness in protection work rarely found in a bitch. Fiercely loyal, she brings a joy for work and a sweetness towards children that results in her being a very nurturing dam. She is bright and vivacious and an incredible mover. Her hips and elbows are fantastic.
