Every dog must be evaluated by a trainer. During the evaluation a trainer will ask about your training goals and assess your dog. This process takes about an hour.
After the evaluation, we can proceed two different ways: you and your dog can train in private lessons or you can enroll your dog for our board and train program.
We offer many types of training from basic obedience to advanced skills such as service dog work.
Every new puppy owner has a thousand questions about how to raise their pup to be a confident, well-mannered dog. Vital information includes: stages of puppy development, techniques for teaching manners, potty training methods, and an understanding of dog mentality. If this is your first pup, or if you are thinking about getting one, call now for a canine training consultation.
Dogs can exhibit many different types of behavioral issues. No two issues are the same and each have a different cause and cure. If the correct techniques are used, most of these patterns can be remedied with patience and determination. Behavioral issues generally become more pronounced over time. If you think your dog is having a behavioral issue don’t wait, contact us now for canine training.
We can erase the mistakes of the previous home with proper care and the correct balance between love and respect. The transition from the shelter to the new family can be eased through awareness of the dog’s individual needs. Learning techniques designed to assert control over your dog without intimidation is very important to establishing a lasting bond.
Maximize the time you spend loving your dog by teaching it how to avoid the things that make you angry. Teaching your dog the rules of the house and the rules of society should be a top priority along with proper health care. The safety of your dog, and the sanity of your household depends on training. A dog’s personality does not fully develop without training. It needs to be challenged mentally and to feel emotionally secure. Proper training fills both needs by giving the dog a purpose and a secure place within the family.
An animal that has been rescued from an abusive or traumatic situation needs to be taught the confidence that it has been robbed of and it’s sense of safety restored. Otherwise, it will not develop into a healthy, mentally stable pet. Sympathy is not enough, understanding and action are the key.
Phobias can be overcome in an abused animal. This greatly increases the confidence of the dog and it’s quality of life. The dog can only regain confidence through the trust it has for it’s owner. Ease the unnatural tension in the abused or phobic dog’s life through skilled handling.
